Biography

Andi works as a metalsmith and potter from her home studio in the mountains of Western Montana. Andi’s work has a bohemian vibe, a touch of wanderlust, and is most often inspired by the natural beauty surrounding her.

Art has always played a prominent role in Andi's life, nurtured by her artistic mother from a young age. However, Andi never considered pursuing it as a career choice until her mid twenties when she found herself unable to continue her college education due to a chronic illness. Confined to bed for periods of time, Andi turned to art for hope and healing. She bought some basic tools and started teaching herself how to make jewelry with silver and stones. As Andi's health gradually improved, so did her craftsmanship.

She launched her etsy shop in 2013 and has been selling her one of a kind pieces to collectors around the world since. Each piece is lovingly handmade, with attention to detail, to ensure her customers receive an heirloom quality piece they will treasure for years to come. Her work has been featured in Stampington’s Belle Armoire magazine as well as Echo of the Dreamer gallery in Sedona, AZ.

In 2021, yearning to learn what she felt was a more tactile, expressive form of art, Andi added pottery to her repertoire. She quickly fell in love with how working with clay allowed her to be fully present in the moment. Andi continues to hone her pottery skills while experimenting with different clays, glazes, and firing techniques.

Artist Statement

I firmly believe that art is a force for good in the world, that it can heal and transform the most difficult situations into something beautiful. While it can be enjoyed on a purely aesthetic level, it also has the power to move us emotionally, to open our minds to new perspectives, and connect us with our shared humanity. Art is a universal language; it breaks barriers and bridges people together across cultures. When we open ourselves to art, we open ourselves to new ways of seeing and being in the world. My hope is to convey these values through my work while also reminding you of your capacity for creativity, wonder and joy.
